Protect and Restore the Ausable River
The annual Ausable River Clean-up took place Tuesday, September 8th
The Ausable River Association (AsRA), in partnership with Adirondack River Rentals and Casella Waste Systems, hosted an Ausable River Clean-Up Tuesday, September 8th in Peru, NY. The clean-up was open to all community members and visitors who want to volunteer their time to help restore and protect the Ausable River by removing trash in and along the banks of the Main Stem Ausable River near Carpenter's Flats.
We're so thankful for the over 20 volunteers who showed up in two shifts to help with our annual Ausable River Clean-Up, in partnership with Adirondack River Rentals and Casella Waste Systems. A chain link fence, part of an engine block, and over 120 tires are just a few of the pollutants removed from the river. A big thank you to Adirondack Riverwalking & Forest Bathing, Tri-Lakes Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and Mountain Lake Academy for their help!
