Protect and Restore the Ausable River
Thanks for Joining Us on September 17th
This year, over 30 people joined us in multiple shifts to clean up the Ausable River in Peru on Carpenter's Flats between Route 9 and the railroad bridge downstream. Together, volunteers removed several large piles of trash and 138 tires from the river, beating last year's record by almost 20 tires. It was encouraging to see that we removed most tires this year downstream from last year's cleanup site, a testament to the success of this cleanup event over the years. Thank you to all of the volunteers who joined us, including Adirondack River Rentals for providing boats and other support, Casella Waste Systems for removing all of the tires and other trash free of charge, and One Tree Planted for sponsoring the event. We greatly appreciate everyone's support!
