Description: Poke-O-Moonshine is one of two mountains within the Ausable River watershed that have a fire tower on the summit. On weekends during the summer, generaly from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the top of the fire tower is open and staffed with an interpreter to give natural and historical information about the mountain. The views from the summit range from Whiteface Mountain to the west, the High Peaks to the south, and Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains to the east.
